Jesus take the wheel… OOOOPS, take the whole car. ;)
Carrie Underwood’s song Jesus take the wheel was a big hit several years ago, The song is about a woman who needs to depend on the Lord because of that song Carrie Underwood became the highest grosser American Idol winner but does the song says “full dependence” on the Lord? She gave the wheel to Jesus so that means… Jesus will guide her on her way but… How about the other parts of the car? the gasoline? Etc.
It’s like our life… We gave our soul to Jesus/God. The question is… Did we surrender everything to HIM? Are we depending on the Lord? Do we use our bodies, our talents to glorify HIM?
According to Jeremiah 17.7-8
7 “But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. 8 He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”
Let’s give the wheel to Jesus… and the whole car. ;)
